03 Jan Platinum Energy Group Announces Strategic Alliance with Philips Lightolier and Tyree Holdings Corp
Lindenhurst, N.Y.(BUSINESS WIRE)
Platinum Energy Group today announced it has formed a strategic alliance with Philips Lightolier and Tyree Holdings Corp., to provide petroleum operators throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States with efficient lighting systems.
“We’re excited to participate in this strategic alliance with Platinum Energy Group and Philips to help clients reduce their energy footprints with LED lighting solutions.”
“This alliance brings together three organizations that share the same values for customer relationships and service,” says Eric Michaels, Platinum Energy Group’s Director of Green Building Technologies. “Each company recognizes what the others bring to the table. With the competitive challenges of Tyree’s clients, we can finally come together and make a difference.”
Founded in 1930 as a pump-and-tank company, Tyree Holdings Corp., an Amincor, Inc. company, is a multi-dimensional retail petroleum and environmental services provider in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States. With the country’s dependence on oil and rising prices at the pump, gas stations have long been considered part of the problem. By pursuing these energy saving initiatives through its alliance with Philips and Platinum Energy Group, Tyree can be part of a solution that benefits everyone.
“The ability to provide Tyree clients with cost-saving, energy efficient lighting solutions fits in perfectly with our comprehensive, service-oriented approach,” said William Tyree, VP of Business Development at Tyree Holdings Corp. “We’re excited to participate in this strategic alliance with Platinum Energy Group and Philips to help clients reduce their energy footprints with LED lighting solutions.”
Lighting represents about 30% of a commercial building’s electricity bill, even more in gas stations. Systems that incorporate the most modern and efficient fixtures available can reduce lighting electrical costs up to 85%.
“With the introduction of LED technology to this industry, we can dramatically reduce energy consumption, operating costs and deliver extremely substantial reductions in carbon dioxide,” said Al Timmes, VP of Platinum Energy Group’s Lighting and Energy Conservation division. “The technologies we’re using consume less, cost less, last longer and shine brighter.”
Through a combination of Philips Lightolier’s energy efficient lighting technology, Platinum Energy Group’s expertise in lighting design and Tyree’s system integration, the alliance anticipates it can deliver substantial reductions in energy, including a projected 89-percent energy reduction in canopy lighting alone.
Philips Lightolier is the largest lighting company in North America, offering the full spectrum of design and manufacturing services for lighting fixtures, lamps and controls. The company’s commitment to energy efficiency has resulted in a number of successful strategic alliances to more effectively bring its technologies and their associated benefits to the market.
“We are truly excited about our alliance with Platinum Energy Group and Tyree,” said David Schneider of Philips Lightolier’s Energy Services Group. “We not only have an opportunity to lower our clients operating costs but we also have the chance to make a real environmental impact.”
